Three Muscle Gain Rumors That May Ruin Your Training

Matters that are quite serious for example bodybuilding need to be approached from a careful angle. It is wise to know where your information is coming from. Some of the more common pieces of advice that are put on the net are written by inexperienced teenagers whose bodies are spewing testosterone and in some cases they may have already gotten started on steroids and other muscle-building drugs.

Most of this information is inaccurate and misleading. In addition the information may just be based on gym myths and can therefore be quite misconstrued. It is possible for everyone to make strides in muscle gain. The problem is that the information being given out makes assumptions that only seem to suit certain body types.

* I will lift weights and get bigger- This is one of the more common myths that circulate around most gyms. The problem with the originator of the rumor is that they heard half of the story. Muscle gain comes as a result of weight training and proper nutrition. The body should be supplied with enough proteins and calories to support muscle growth and to provide fuel for the strenuous exercises respectively.

When you train with weights and take your muscles to fatigue they usually incur damages that must be mended. The body also responds to give you much more strength hence new layers of muscles are added. These processes need the presence of proteins; they are essentially the building blocks of the muscles. You should take proteins every three hours.

* Isolated exercises are best- Most people who settle for isolated exercises don’t do so to gain muscle rather they do that to run away from the reality that compound exercises are the best for building and developing muscles. Compound exercises are really intense and difficult to do but the results are obviously impressive.

There are quite a number of compound exercises including deadlifts, the squats, and bench presses. The squats have been hailed as some of the most effective all round exercise techniques known to man.

They really work on nearly every muscle group in the body and are therefore quite versatile. Taking part in such exercises triggers the release of a torrent of hormones including testosterone and the growth hormone which serve to accelerate the muscle building process.

* ‘Y’ times every week is the best for me- As mentioned before, everyone has a different body that responds differently to different training programs. It is up to you to find a rhythm that suits you and stick to it. Remember to constantly improve on it to avoid complacency on the part of the muscles.
